Environmental Services Supervisor - Day Shift Swarthmore
The Environmental Services Supervisor provides leadership for Environmental Services Technicians and Crew Leaders. Ensure the timely and proper cleaning and waste management care of all College buildings. Tasks performed with a high degree of autonomy include designating assignments and evaluating performance. This position requires developing lists for large projects, completing small repairs, and working with other campus partners. This position also requires coordinating and maintaining supplies; leading and working with leadership to follow, update, or implement procedures and practices of the department. This position also requires knowledge to clearly understand and explain the purpose of a job and summarize the duties and responsibilities of each task.
System & Network Administrator Swarthmore

Program & Engagement Coordinator Swarthmore
The Program and Engagement Coordinator is a core member of the Center for Innovation and Leadership (CIL) professional staff team. The Program and Engagement Coordinator has administrative oversight of the program and office logistics as well as center communication and engagement. They are responsible for coordinating program schedules and working closely with CIL staff to identify and define program requirements, timelines, and objectives. They will also work on communication and engagement efforts to raise the CIL’s visibility and recognition of its mission, offerings and accomplishments and track engagement across campus constituents. This includes creating and managing content across multiple internal and social media platforms, website maintenance, newsletters, flyers, and email. They may supervise student interns to support them in these tasks. This role will collaborate with colleagues within the department and across the institution, as well as with students and alumni in carrying out communications plans and center initiatives.
Wellness Initiative Coordinator Swarthmore
The Wellness Initiative Coordinator is a part-time, non-exempt, non-benefits eligible, 10-month position. The expected schedule is working August through May, at 14 hours per week. This position will assist with the coordination and implementation of Swarthmore College’s health promotion and education programs. This position will introduce campus partners to the college’s Be Well initiative and further shift the culture of holistic well-being at Swarthmore College. This position will coordinate campus events and promote the connection between departmental programs and Be Well. As a member of the collaborative Student Health and Wellness team, and more specifically, the wellness education team, this position will also support educational programming to the college-aged population in areas encompassed by the Eight Dimensions of Wellness. The educational focus areas will be driven by thoughtful strategy and regular assessment and analysis reports.
Area Coordinator Swarthmore
The Area Coordinator (AC) will work with the Office of Student Engagement (OSE) to supervise the residential community, which includes student staff supervision and training, crisis response, and community development. The AC will also provide substantial support to Student Activities programming through a collateral assignment and programming support. The AC is a 12-month live-in position that collaborates with students, faculty, and staff in developing residential experiences that foster a sense of community and opportunities for the personal growth of community members. As a member of the Office of Student Engagement, ACs commit to developing student leaders who are ready to engage in a diverse, global world. The AC position reports dually to the Director of Residential Communities for position aspects related to residential life and to the Director of Student Activities position for aspects related to student activities and collateral assignments. The AC will serve in many capacities including: community builder, educator, supervisor, event programmer, and collaborator. In these roles, the AC helps shape the quality of the co-curricular experience for all students.
School Liaison & Outreach Coordinator Swarthmore

Community Resource Officer Patrol/Communications Swarthmore
The Department of Public Safety is currently accepting applications for the position of Community Resource Officer (CRO) Patrol/Communication. The CRO Patrol/Communication is essential to the success of our community caretaking model and community engagement role. They are responsible for responding to routine and emergency calls for service, conducting initial and follow up investigations as appropriate, responding to medical incidents and both fire and intrusion alarms. They are also responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the multi-faceted Swarthmore College Communication Center. The Officer courteously provides information and assistance by telephone, radio or in person to faculty, staff, students, and visitors. The dispatch of internal communications, monitoring of CCTV, Access Control and both fire and intrusion alarms, as well as key control of organizations’ keys are all integral functions of the position. Coordination of communication or responding to incidents under demanding emergency conditions is an essential skill. Performs other duties as assigned.

Academic Support Coordinator Swarthmore
The Academic Support Coordinator manages the Engineering peer instructor program, tracks outcomes of students in core first- and second-year courses, and provides help for introductory course material as needed. On Call Public Safety Communications Officer Swarthmore
The On-Call Public Safety Communication Officer (PSCO) is a key role in Department's responsibility for the safety and well-being of Swarthmore College students, campus property, community members, and visitors. The Communication Officer will be responsible for courteous and active engagement with the community, through effective communication verbally and in writing. As a Communication Officer, you are the first contact for internal and external interactions and incidents involving the College and provide a service for routine and emergency calls to the College. You will receive initial information and take appropriate action to resolve or address the situation. You will manage the functions of the communication center as well as respond to radio transmissions and in person requests for assistance. You will also need to be able to have clear communication, verbally and written, for making reports on incidents and investigations. In this role, the primary duties of the PSCO are to assure continuity of practices and effective communication service to/for the Swarthmore College Department of Public Safety Communications Center (SCDPSCC), the College community, and local law enforcement agencies. This position requires a high degree of community engagement, cultural competency, and ability to navigate complex protocols for effective decision making based upon Department and College guidelines. The ability to provide clear communication, often under pressure, in a multifaceted communication center and navigate a variety of technology. Personnel in this position are considered “essential” in that they support a 24 hour, 7 day per week communication center operation.
Cataloging & Metadata Librarian Swarthmore
Reporting to the Head, Cataloging & Metadata, the Cataloging and Metadata Librarian will perform original and complex copy cataloging for materials in all formats including print, video, special collections and rare books, streaming videos, and e-books. The position will strengthen the discovery of the Libraries’ collections by creating original MARC metadata records following RDA and AACR2 standards. The incumbent will also collaborate with the Special Collections team on creating, maintaining, and enhancing subject and name authority records in a shared ArchivesSpace platform, managed by the Friends Historical Library, Peace Collection, and College Archives. The incumbent will implement the development of metadata policies that include descriptive, administrative, and technical metadata schemas for the Libraries’ current and future systems, including Ex Libris’ Alma/Primo, ArchivesSpace, and other content management systems. The incumbent will also collaborate with colleagues to improve and revise migrated data.
