Essential Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Equal Opportunity, the HR Talent Manager will provide excellent customer service, demonstrate good judgement, and maintain a consultative approach regarding recruitment and retention strategies. The HR Talent Manager will model best practices in workplace development and workplace relation solutions.

The HR Talent Manager will be a proactive and innovative self-starter, successful at developing relationships with clients and within a team environment. Subject matter expertise in talent management, retention practices, workplace relations and general HR knowledge is properly and successfully advise campus partners, including areas of regulatory compliance is required.

The HR Talent Manager is responsible for the full complement of Talent Management activities including recruitment, onboarding and engagement programs, including New Hire Orientation, and manage key metrics and analyze reports to provide recommendations to both the recruitment and retention processes and strategies. Expertise and consultation on solving issues surrounding Employee Relations is a critical element of this role. In addition, the HR Talent Manager is expected to provide essential guidance and consultation in the areas of Organizational Effectiveness and Performance Management to drive performance and achieve departmental needs and initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 5 years of human resource experience.
  • Expertise in the areas of recruitment, retention and employee relations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment related laws and regulations.
  • Well-organized, self-directed, team-oriented, exhibits a high level or integrity that inspires trust and confidence and the ability to work with autonomy.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. Excellent attention to detail and ability to set and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate effectively and meet the needs of various constituents within a diverse and inclusive community.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal skills.
  • Proven success developing creating sourcing strategies including the use of social media platforms including, but not limited to, LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience using employee data management systems, and the ability to learn new softward programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Ellucian Banner, Page Up Applicant Tracking System, and/or LinkedIn Recruiter are preferred.
  • Human Resource certification through HRCI/SHRM preferred.
  • Experience in Higher Education preferred.
