Admissions Reader Swarthmore
Swarthmore College is seeking to fill three available part-time Admissions Evaluator/Reader. This position begins on or after December 1, 2020 and concludes on or before March 15, 2021. The Admissions Evaluator is a part-time entry level position that plays a key role in the selection of the College’s first-year class. The Admissions Evaluator will be trained to read for Swarthmore College, and a preference will be given to candidates with experience reading in a high-volume, highly selective college or university environment at the undergraduate level.
Manager, Investment Operations Swarthmore
Swarthmore College has an immediate opening for a Manager of Investment Operations. This position reports to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO). The candidate will be responsible for oversight of endowment administration, legal and compliance, manager operational due diligence, hardware and software and Investment Office accounting and reporting. The Manager of Investment Operations reports to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO). The candidate will be responsible for oversight of endowment administration, legal and compliance, manager operational due diligence, hardware and software and Investment Office accounting and reporting. The Investment Office is responsible for the oversight of the endowment assets of Swarthmore College, which total approximately $2.2 billion. The endowment is managed primarily by external investment management firms and diversified among assets classes. The position is an integral part of the Investment Office. The position does not have any investment research, investment due diligence or portfolio management responsibilities. This position will work remotely currently as the College limits on campus work. When the College resumes normal operations the position will work on campus. This is a full time, exempt position at a salary grade 9.
Controller Swarthmore
Swarthmore College has an immediate opening for the position of Controller. This position is responsible for all accounting functions at the College as well as the business transactions and processes within accounts payable, accounts receivable and student accounts. These business functions are staffed by 9 full-time employees. The position has two direct reports both Associate Controllers with the remaining staff supervised by the two direct reports. The major functions of these offices include the receipt and accounting for all funds received by the College; the payment of all expenditures with the exception of payroll, accounting for all financial transactions including all endowment, grant, restricted funds; compliance with tax regulations, design and effectiveness of internal controls and oversight during the annual audit. This position also has check signing authority to serve as a reviewer on large payments. Access & User Service Specialist Swarthmore
