Position Summary
Provides preventive, rehabilitative, and emergency medical care to club sports teams. Provides on-site pre-practice and pre-event preparation for club sports teams. Approximately 2 to 3 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with some weekend coverage; September through December/February through May.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provides on-site pre-event and pre-practice preparation for club sports teams during practice and competition. Provides the same services for visiting teams when necessary.
- Treats and implements rehabilitation programs for injured student-athletes.
- Communicates injuries with set documentation process to the Sports Medicine Office to ensure timely and appropriate care of injured athletes.
- Facilitates baseline balance tests for all new rugby and ultimate frisbee club sports participants.
- Assists with administrative tasks as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer certification.
- Pennsylvania state certification.
Preferred
- Basic skills/knowledge of Google Suite.
- Basic knowledge of other computer programs, i.e., Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to remain in a standing position 50% of the time for up to three hours.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to work in extreme hot and extreme cold conditions.

This position may regularly interact with minors. Under Pennsylvania Child Protective Services Law, (23 Pa. Cons. Stat. §§6301, et seq.) employees who have direct contact with minors are required to obtain the following background clearances prior to the start of employment:
- Pennsylvania Access to Criminal History (PATCH) through the Pennsylvania State Police
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (PACA) through the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services
- FBI Criminal History Background Check (FBI Fingerprint).
