Summer Marketing Assistant Swarthmore
The Summer Marketing Assistant reports to the Senior Associate Director of Alumni & Parent Engagement. The candidate will support the work of the marketing team (25-30 hours per week) and general projects within Advancement (5-10 hours per week). Director of the Black Cultural Center, is seeking a summer research assistant to conduct primary source research in preparation for the 50th anniversary of the Black Cultural Center in 2020. The Research Assistant will be responsible for conducting historical research, mainly with alumni based in the within the Philadelphia area , covering the breadth of the Black experience at Swarthmore College, with a specific focus on major events, individuals, milestones, and hidden history. The Research Assistant will also be responsible for transcribing and editing recorded interviews.

The Chester Children’s Chorus seeks a Swim Program Coordinator for its 2019 Summer Learning Program, which runs from Monday, June 24 through Wednesday, July 31, 2019. Founded in 1994 by Dr. John Alston, the Chester Children's Chorus (CCC) provides rigorous music education to Chester, Pennsylvania students (grades 3-12). All CCC students are invited to attend the six-week CCC Summer Learning Program on the Swarthmore College campus. Students participate in daily choral music instruction, dance, art, academic and physical education classes. The Swim Program Coordinator coordinates volunteers, employees and schedules with CCC students in grades 3-5. During camp, the coordinator ensures proper groupings of swimmers based on ability. The CCC has modified schedules on Fridays, some of which will include swimming at the Swarthmore Swim Club.

Founded in 1994 by Dr. John Alston, the Chester Children's Chorus (CCC) provides rigorous music education to Chester, Pennsylvania students (grades 3-12). All CCC students are invited to attend the six-week CCC Summer Learning Program on the Swarthmore College campus. Students participate in daily choral music instruction, dance, art, academic and physical education classes. Swim instructors report directly to the Swim Coordinator, with added support from program staff. Instructors work with students in grades 3-5 on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m.

Math classes and one-on-one coaching take place daily, Monday through Thursday, throughout the six week Summer Learning Program. The Assistant Math Teacher reports to the Lead Math Teacher.

The Lead Math Teacher works with the Managing Education Director to plan, implement and evaluate math instruction for chorus members, grades 3-12. Math classes and one-on-one coaching take place daily, Monday through Thursday, throughout the six week Summer Learning Program. The Lead Math Teacher reports to the Managing Education Director with added support from program staff.
Elementary Coding Teacher Swarthmore
The Chester Children’s Chorus seeks a Coding Teacher for its 2019 Summer Learning Program, which runs from Monday, June 24 through Wednesday, July 31, 2019. The Coding Teacher designs, prepares and implements a coding curriculum with a group of rising fourth and fifth grade Chorus members during one-hour sessions, Monday-Thursday afternoons. Classes will take place in a computer lab with internet access on Swarthmore College campus. The Coding Teacher reports to the Lower School Coordinator with added support from program staff.
Summer/Winter Maintenance Worker Swarthmore
The Summer/Winter Maintenance Worker in the Facilities/Maintenance Department will be expected to assist in a variety of tasks to augment the regular Maintenance and Heat Plant workers. Task will be varied from painting to general cleanup or assisting in repairs and replacements. The hours will be 7:00AM to 3:30PM Monday through Friday.

The Photography Teacher designs, prepares and implements a photography project with two separate groups of middle & high school aged Chorus members during one-hour elective courses, Monday-Thursday afternoons. An exhibition of student work will be on display at the end of the Summer Learning Program.  The Photography Teacher reports to the Upper School Coordinator with added support from program staff.
Lead Teacher Summer Swarthmore
The Chester Children’s Chorus is hiring lead teachers as part of the summer learning program. The academic program runs from Monday, June 25 through Wednesday, July 25, 2018. Founded in 1994 by John Alston, the Chester Children's Chorus (CCC) is the only rigorous music education program currently in Chester, PA for grades 3-12. All CCC students are welcome to spend six weeks of their summer on the Swarthmore College campus, where chorus members participate in daily choral music instruction, dance, art, and academic and physical recreation classes. We welcome interesting and creative class curricula. Examples of previous classes include history, creative writing, art, and dance. Camp occurs on the Swarthmore College campus. The Upper School Program Coordinator serves as the manager of the festival and concert choirs (grades 6-12).
