Develop and improve participant sports skills and assists club officers in scheduling games. The position coordinates practices and game schedules and assists club officers with budget management.

Essential Responsibilities:
● Attend and supervise a majority of games and practices, including evenings and weekends
● Promote good sportsmanship on and off the field
● Abide by all College/Club Sports rules and regulations, including the Employee Handbook, Student Code of
Conduct, and Club Sports Handbook
● Submit coaching contracts and other paperwork when necessary
● Communicate with Assistant Athletic Director for Recreation, Wellness, & Physical Education as needed on issues associated with
the club or any of its participants. These issues include, but are not limited to: Travel concerns; Injuries;
Equipment; Administrative tasks and responsibilities
● Ensure safety of participants and monitor environmental (field/court/playing surfaces) conditions
● Ensure proper warm-up/stretching for student-athletes prior to practice or competition

Required Qualifications:
2-4 years in coaching and/or collegiate experience with informed knowledge of diverse student populations. Ability to attend practices/competitions from September to May. Strong organizational skills including the ability to design and communicate workout programs. Must be able to communicate effectively and interact successfully with a broad spectrum of internal and external constituencies, including students, alumni, staff, and parents.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior assistant or head coaching experience at a liberal arts college or university. First Aid, CPR, and AED Certifications.
