Responsibilities include providing individual psychotherapy and potentially group psychotherapy services in a busy college counseling setting. As part of these services, candidates are expected to demonstrate professionalism, ethical decision-making, assessment, treatment planning, and intervention skills. This position reports to the Clinical Social Work supervisor and the Director. This position includes participation in all educational and outreach activities of CAPS.
Candidates must have proven ability to function as part of a team, demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and be well versed in providing clinical services to a young adult population in a residential college setting utilizing a range of interventions grounded in an overarching psychodynamic framework. They should demonstrate the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and be able to identify and examine practitioner/student differences in treatment.
Masters Degree in Social Work
Minimum one year clinical experience in college counseling center
• Ability to use Titanium scheduling software
• Experience working in an undergraduate liberal arts institution
• Experience with psychodynamic treatment modality
• Experience with facilitating group therapy
