Reporting to the Assistant Dean and Director of the Intercultural Center (IC), the Assistant Director manages, sustains, supports and evaluates programs, including all functions related to the Intercultural Center. Responsibilities include supervising IC interns and advising student groups, providing logistical support for programs and events; planning special projects supported by the office; drafting and preparing correspondence and documents; professional interactions with other members of the College community, outside visitors, and vendors. The position is also responsible for all administrative functions of the office such as correspondence, reports, budgets, data and file archiving, and facilities management of IC spaces. The Program Administrator provides administrative support for the Assistant Dean/Director, including event planning, scheduling, telephone and mail, website maintenance, and handling of confidential student information.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Ethnic Studies, Education or other relevant field.
  • At least 2 years full-time post bachelors experience working in Higher Education, a non-profit agency, event planning, and/or community organizing.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree, skills in facilitation, event planning, fiscal management, and/or advising/counseling. Significant experience working in an undergraduate institution, preferably a liberal arts college, or non-profit/community agency is preferred;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office and desktop publishing as well as knowledge of GoogleApps, web content management software, and web based systems.
