The Admissions Technical Specialist manages the technical processes for Slate, the Admissions Office CRM, which touches every aspect of admissions recruitment, communications, data collection and analysis, and application review. Tasks performed include managing and enhancing existing Slate processes; working with the Slate team to conceive, design, and implement new Slate processes; identifying and resolving technical problems within Slate; managing the import and export processes of various external data sources; managing the electronic delivery of all e-communications sent by admissions; creating and managing web-interfaces through Slate; working with the systems support analyst in managing technical aspects of mapping information transferred between different enterprise systems; training admissions staff on Slate and various relative technologies, as well as other responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma required (some college desirable).
- Prior administrative / technical experience in higher education a plus, and at least 3-5 years relevant experience.
- Requires typing speed of at least 60WPM and proficient in Word and Excel.
- Strong technical skills, including HTML/CSS and/or SQL experience.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Familiarity/experience with admissions operations and technologies, including Slate, Common Application, Coalition Application, Questbridge Application, and/or Slideroom
- Familiarity with Banner or web-based technologies that support institutional data management
