The Research Fellow provides technical (including programming) support for faculty research programs using EEG technology and assists in the development of research experiences for students, including theses, summer research, course labs and research practicum courses, with regard to facilitating the use of both complex technical apparatuses (such as EEG/ERP technology) and simpler technologies such as online survey instruments. Additional responsibilities include the following: Set-up, maintenance and trouble-shooting for specialized complex apparatuses, and associated data-base management; Manage and maintain ERP/EEG laboratory facilities in the Psychology Department for collaborative use by multiple labs; Provide training to students and faculty in the use of ERP equipment; Provide individualized consulting on the design and analysis of faculty-sponsored research projects using ERP equipment; Support and facilitate the conduct of collaborative cognitive neuroscientific research; Assist in the coordination and management of the use of specialized lab equipment, working with both students and faculty; Assist in the preparation of grants and manuscripts. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to support an active research program in cognitive neuroscience or related fields.
- Must have at least two to three years’ experience in an academic laboratory setting.
- PhD in cognitive neuroscience or related field.
