Utility Associate (PT Pooled) Swarthmore
Provides timely and reliable cleaning and maintenance support for Swarthmore’s dining services. Scrubs, sanitizes and rinses pots, pan and utensils throughout the day to ensure cooks have constant availability of cooking vessels, Ensures the availability of a clean and sanitary supply of dishes, glassware, trays, throughout each meal period. Maintains and sanitizes the dish machine & pot area. Ensures a clean dining service facility. Must interact well with customers, co-workers and supervisors. Must work effectively, both independently and as a team member.
Public Safety Patrol Officer Swarthmore
The Department of Public Safety is currently accepting applications for the position of Community Resource Officer (CRO) Patrol/Communication. The CRO Patrol/Communication is essential to the success of our community caretaking model and community engagement role. They are responsible for responding to routine and emergency calls for service, conducting initial and follow up investigations as appropriate, responding to medical incidents and both fire and intrusion alarms. They are also responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the multi-faceted Swarthmore College Communication Center. The position maintains control of incoming telephone calls while providing direction for outgoing calls that are not direct dial accessible. The Officer courteously provides information and assistance by telephone, radio or in person to faculty, staff, students, and visitors. The dispatch of internal communications, monitoring of CCTV, Access Control and both fire and intrusion alarms, as well as key control of organizations’ keys are all integral functions of the position. Coordination of communication or responding to incidents under demanding emergency conditions is an essential skill. Performs other duties as assigned. We are currently hiring for the second shift, 2:30pm-10:30pm with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off.
Senior Accountant Swarthmore

Assistant General Counsel Swarthmore

Utility Technician I/II Swarthmore
The Utility Technician I/II's role is to work in conjunction with HVAC Technicians, Plant Operators, and Electricians to maintain and repair all equipment and devices related to heating, air conditioning, and ventilation throughout the college campus. The Utility Technician will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs to equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent unexpected breakdowns. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Communications Officer Swarthmore
The Public Safety Communication Officer (PSCO) is a key role in Department responsibility for the safety and well-being of Swarthmore College students, campus property, community members, and visitors. The Communication Officer will be responsible for courteous and active engagement with the community, through effective communication verbally and in writing. As a Communication Officer, you are the first contact for internal and external interactions and incidents involving the College and provide a service for routine and emergency calls to the College. You will receive initial information and take appropriate action to resolve or address the situation. You will manage the functions of the communication center as well as respond to radio transmissions and in person requests for assistance. You will also need to be able to have clear communication, verbally and written, for making reports on incidents and investigations. In this role, the primary duties of the PSCO are to assure a continuity of practices and effective communication service to/for the Swarthmore College Department of Public Safety Communications Center (SCDPSCC), the College community, and local law enforcement agencies. This position requires a high degree of community engagement, cultural competency, ability to navigate complex protocol for effective decision making based upon Department and College guidelines. The ability to provide clear communication, often under pressure, in a multifaceted communication center, and navigate a variety of technology. Personnel in this position are considered “essential” in that they support a 24 hour, 7 day per week communication center operation.
Director, Residential Communities Swarthmore
The Office of Student Engagement is seeking a Director of Residential Communities (DRC) to join the Student Life team. The Swarthmore College Student Life Team includes Student Activities & Leadership, Residential Communities, Case Management, the Inclusive Excellence Fellows Initiative, and Student Conduct. The DRC is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Associate Dean and Director of Student Engagement. The DRC oversees a team of one associate director, four full-time area coordinators, and over 50 unionized student paraprofessional staff. This is a 12-month live-on position, with a partially furnished College owned residence, and on-call responsibilities that may include evening, holiday, and weekend commitments. The Director of Residential Communities directs and manages all aspects of residential education and housing operations at the College. Typical responsibilities will include multiple housing projects with tight timelines, residentially focused programs, challenging housing operation requests, and fixed budgets. This position represents Swarthmore College to internal and external constituencies, including students, faculty, staff, vendors, comparable institutions, and parents. The Director must exercise high levels of discretion, independent judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively with a large number of College community members and offices.
Area Coordinator Swarthmore
The Area Coordinator (AC) will work with the Office of Student Engagement (OSE) to supervise the residential community, which includes student staff supervision and training, crisis response, and community development. The AC will also provide substantial support to Student Activities programming through a collateral assignment and programming support. The AC is a 12-month live-in position that collaborates with students, faculty, and staff in developing residential experiences that foster a sense of community and opportunities for the personal growth of community members. As a member of the Office of Student Engagement and Student Life team, ACs commit to developing student leaders who are ready to engage in a diverse, global world. The AC position reports dually to the Director of Residential Communities for position aspects related to residential life and to the Director of Student Activities position for aspects related to student activities and collateral assignments. The AC will serve in many capacities including: community builder, educator, supervisor, event programmer, and collaborator. In these roles, the AC helps shape the quality of the co-curricular experience for all students.

Senior Project Manager Swarthmore
Sustainable Capital Planning and Project Management (SCPPM) is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team of planners, project managers, and interior designers. The SCPPM department is responsible for all major and minor construction projects for Swarthmore College. Reporting to the Director of Sustainable Capital Planning and Project Management (SCPPM), the Senior Project Manager position directs and manages new construction, renovation, user fit out, capital and campus renewal projects ranging in cost up to and often exceeding $5M and occasionally exceeding $50M. Typical assignments will include multiple projects with tight timelines, focused programs, challenging site logistics and fixed budgets. This position represents Swarthmore College to internal and external constituencies including faculty, staff, students, architects, engineers, trade partners, and local government on a variety of issues related to project development and delivery. The Senior Project Manager provides excellent customer service by actively managing the entire design and construction project including initiation, programming, design, budget, construction and occupancy while providing timely and accurate updates to client representatives regarding project status, budget, and schedule.
Per Diem Athletic Trainer for Club Sports Swarthmore
Provides preventive, rehabilitative, and emergency medical care to club sports teams. Provides on-site pre-practice and pre-event preparation for club sports teams. Temporary - Customer Service Associate Swarthmore
This part time, temporary position for the Swarthmore Campus and Community Store, will assist in order fulfillment and customer support for the store. The temporary position will be needed for around 20 hours per week, from Mid- August through Mid-September and again from Early-January through Early February, exact dates are based on the academic schedule for the College.
Temporary On-Call Production Technician Swarthmore
Swarthmore College, a highly selective liberal arts college, is located in the suburbs of Philadelphia. The Lang Performing Arts Center (LPAC) integrates the arts into Swarthmore’s curriculum. The space houses many facilities which cater to the needs of the college’s artistic spectrum. The LPAC is versatile in its function: rehearsals, gallery installations, readings, film screenings, classes and performances are all simultaneously hosted within the building, making it a gravitational hub of campus activity. Under supervision, the On-Call Production Technician performs tasks for a variety of programs and events. This person may assist in the load-in, running, and production for performances in the LPAC.
