The Associate Director of Dining Services will provide assistance to the dining services director. In collaboration with the director, they will advise, supervise and monitor the day-to-day activities of residential and retail dining services. This will include scheduling, pricing, assisting in service, ensuring that the overall operation is fiscally sound and meeting established standards in the areas of customer service, safety, quality, efficiency, employee training, and the maintenance of positive relations and communication with student residents and other constituents. The associate director is to assume responsibility in absence of the Director of Dining. Daily activities will include, but are not limited to: directing the management team, maintaining financial controls according to budget and maintaining strong relationships with students, staff, faculty and clients. Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, sanitation, presentation and marketing. Perform related duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School degree with 7 years of experience or Associates degree in culinary or business with 5 or more years of related experience
- Serv-safe Certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- PA Child abuse and FBI Clearance
- Ability to drive a box truck
- Bachelor’s degree in food service administration, institutional management, nutrition, dietetics or related area.
- 5 or more years of progressively more responsible supervisory and administrative experience in a high volume food service operation that offers a varying daily menu.
