The Department of Student Health and Wellness is currently accepting applications for the position of Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner provides primary healthcare to enrolled students of the college. This includes all evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of the variety of primary care illness and preventive health challenges that face the young adult population. The NP must be able to manage a large and diverse caseload, including following laboratory results, prescribing medication, and evaluating treatment plans. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Masters' Prepared Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in the state of PA and possess board certification in family practice.   
  • Must also have 3-5 years clinical experience in primary care/family practice setting.
  • CPR/AED certification 

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to perform women's and reproductive health exams.
  • Ability to collaborate with professional colleagues as necessary to provide quality care.
  • Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills. 

This is a part-time 20 hours per week position scheduled from August through December 2017, with the possibility of converting into a permanent part-time position.  All applicant packets must include an updated resume and cover letter.
