The Human Resources Manager will provide guidance, advice and counsel to all levels of employees on employee relation’s matters to ensure consistency with College policy and adherence to regulatory compliance. The position will also develop and implement training initiatives and work in partnership on the College’s recruitment and retention efforts.  The Human Resources Manager must utilize specialized human resources and employee relations expertise including but not limited to resolving questions, concerns for employees in creative and effective ways, handling investigations, providing advice on performance management and organizational and operational effectiveness. Using creative learning models, develop and implement professional development programs to enhance employee engagement. In addition, they must demonstrate exceptional customer service, respect, responsiveness, and collaboration in all interactions with constituents. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of 3-years of professional experience in human resources. Must have demonstrated success in employee relations, coaching and/or organizational development. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.  
  • Excellent interpersonal and intuitive ability, strong verbal and written skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Must have organizational skills and knowledge of employment law and practices.
  • Must possess technical competency including proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and other software or HRIS programs, and the ability to operate standard office equipment. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Banner or similar human resources information systems is highly desired.
  • PHR or SHRM certification is a plus.

 This is a 18 month limited term, part-time 25 hours per week position.
